Why can’t I get through to someone on the telephone?
We are a small family run business which is also very popular thus with limited resources but much demand we often tend to have very busy moments with our telephone and cannot always answer every call, that comes through.
Our telephone is not manned 24/7 and we do not take calls out of hours so If you cannot get through to us right away, please do leave us a brief message stating the reason for your call and a clearly spoken contact number and then we will get back to you as soon as we are in the office.

Cobble Corner is the local groceries store and newsagents which is right in the centre of Marazion this being about a 5 minutes’ walk or 10 minute a leisurely stroll away.

Is the site suitable for those without a car?
Yes, we are situated in an envious position nestled next to the nature reserve, almost on the beach with St Michael’s Mount apposite. The centre of Marazion is around 5 minutes stroll away. What happens if we arrive early – can we check in?
No, but please feel free to use the car park at the bottom and stretch your legs, there is no need to notify us of your arrival or request permission to leave your car parked there.
Check in is strictly from 4pm so that cleaning, maintenance and routine tasks can be carried out for check in time unless early arrival was taken out with your booking in which case we will of given your caravan priority and you can check in from 2pm.
In essence the park is closed to new arrivals until at least 2pm and ask that no one enters the park until then as vehicles may be in use on the park.
I don’t think we will be able to arrive until after the 8pm check in, is this OK?
In most cases so long as we know in advance, this should not be a problem at all but we would at least expect to be given notice. If you are going to arrive particularly late or on a day other than our Saturday check in day, the management may choose to make alternative check in arrangements.
What do I need to show on arrival?
Unless otherwise stated, please bring your booking receipt with you and keep it safely in your caravan for the duration of your holiday.
When does the swimming pool open?
Our outdoor swimming pool is open from Spring Bank Holiday week (Whitsun) to mid-September, weather permitting. Official opening times are 10am to 5pm although often at our discretion it is open until around 7-8pm during times of peak usage i.e. Whitsun bank holiday week & late July/ August.
Is the swimming pool heated?
Yes and in keeping with our continued plan of heavy investment into Mount’s Bay Caravan Park we have a new upgraded to eco-friendly air sourced heating system.
Do you allow Smoking on the park?
We have not allowed smoking in our caravans since we took up ownership of Mount’s Bay in 2005. Back in 2007 the new smoking legislation and laws then came into force making smoking then illegal in all public buildings, this includes all accommodation and internal areas such as our laundry.
We respectfully ask all smokers to dispose of all cigarette ends after use and NOT to smoke in the doorway or on the steps of our caravans as smoke may blow back inside.
If we find that smoking has taken place inside any of our caravans, a charge of £100 will be issued.
Can we bring our bikes / kayaks / trailer?
We have ample space by most of our caravans (exempting numbers 9a & 10 for trailers) for all of the above but offer no internal storage for such items. Items such as bikes and surfboards etc must not be stored in the caravans. Please remember if storing a trailer that vehicular access to the caravan is limited to arrival and departure day. Please note we assume no responsibility for items stored on our premises.
Is there an oven and hob in all of your caravans?
All of our caravans are modern and come fully equipped with gas oven, grill and hobs.
Do you provide a television in the caravans?
Yes, all of our accommodation has a TV with Freeview provided.
Do you provide a DVD player?
Unfortunately we do not provide DVD Players in all of our caravans, currently only the Oakley and Resort+ caravans have DVD players built into larger 32” TV’s. All modern TV’s have scart sockets if you wish to bring your own DVD player or gaming system.
Do you hire towels?
Sorry we do not hire towels.
Can I hire linen with you on arrival?
We prefer to have the linen hire arranged in advance so that we can have your beds made up for your arrival. We can only hire the linen out in sets per bed.
Do you allow BBQ’s?
Yes, you may use a barbecue in the area next to your own caravan, for a disposable BBQ there are bricks down in the leaflet hut so as not to burn the grass. Please do not put a disposable BBQ on to the picnic benches as this is a fire risk and with regards to noise, please be respectful of others in caravans around you.
Can a travel cot fit in the caravan?
A typical travel cot whether hired from us or your own will fit into either the living room or the twin single bedroom with one of the single beds moved. If an older child is using the other single bed, we can remove and store a single bed for the duration of your stay for a small fee.
Will the two single beds move together to make a double bed?
This can and has been done, however we do not really recommend it as being practical and as all our units are different cannot really advise in advance or assist in this matter.
Do you provide irons and ironing boards?
We do not provide irons and ironing boards in any accommodation; however, there is an Iron and ironing board in our laundry.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
No, Having looked into providing Wi-Fi over recent years, we do not have any plans to provide Wi-Fi in the near future.
Is there an office on the park?
Yes, we have a reception which is attached to the management premises and although we are a self-catering park (Thus do not claim to provide any sort of concierge service), we are more than happy to help with any questions about the park, caravan you are in and we are knowledgeable about our local area. As a small family run business sometimes an emergency contact telephone number is left up if all staff are currently out on the premises or off site. We ask that general enquiries are made during reasonable social hours only.
We aim to provide a safe, secure, clean and happy holiday environment. Please help us to keep it this way. Pick up your litter as you go, keep all belongings locked away and secure your accommodation, especially when you head off the park for the day.
When do we have to check out?
Our check-out time is 10am and we do not offer a paid late departure facility as the park needs to be clear for cleaning and maintenance work to be carried out freely.
You are more than welcome to leave your car in our car park until 1pm if you wish to make the most of your holiday. We will make a late departure charge of £30 for units not vacated by 10.30am.
Do you sell your caravans privately?
Currently all our caravans are owned and retained by the premises and we have no plans to sell units on the premises in the foreseeable future.
