On our doorstep.
Mount's Bay Caravan Park is situated within the historic town of Marazion, its charming little town centre can be easily reached on foot from our Park as it is a convenient five-minute flat walk along the seafront.
Marazion town has much to offer our guests with its quaint narrow streets and a selection of local shops and galleries. There is also an excellent variety of restaurants and traditional public houses for you to choose from.
The sandy beach is just across the road from our Park and offers glorious views of the Mount, making it the perfect beach for a day spent relaxing in the sun. The clean, safe waters here are ideal for paddle boarding/ kayaking and there is even water- sport equipment hire and tuition available on the beach for you.
Marazion is ideally suited for children with a fantastic play area that is situated on the seafront. Children also love playing on the beach which is patrolled in the peak summer weeks by RNLI lifeguards. There are also rock pools waiting to be explored at every low tide around the Mount's causeway.
The main attraction undeniably though is the Mount itself. St Michael's Mount is a beautiful tidal island that can be reached at low tide by walking across it's cobbled causeway. Local ferryboats are available for use when the tide is high. There is much to see on the island - take a tour of its castle summit, the church, harbour and subtropical gardens. When you visit this ancient priory that was once dedicated to the Archangel St Michael, you will discover that the Mount is rich in history, scenery, myths and legends. This wonderful landmark is on our doorstep and can be easily reached on foot from our Park.
There are many other walks around Marazion for you to enjoy; the local Cornish coastal paths will take you to places like Perranuthanoe, Praa Sands and Prussia Cove in one direction, and Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole in the other direction. For those who enjoy cycling, The Cornish Cycle Way route runs alongside the Park, providing an easy flat ride into Penzance and beyond. Bikes are available to hire locally if you do not wish to bring your own.
Not only are we opposite the beach but alongside us is an RSPB nature reserve called Marazion marshes; it is a wildlife magnet and perfect for bird-watching and walking. Guided talks are held for you to join if you wish.
Only 3 miles from us is the town of Penzance. This town offers helpful amenities such as supermarkets and the train/bus station but also has its very own attractions such as Cornwall's only promenade, and an art-deco lido called the Jubilee Pool. From Penzance harbour you can sail to the Isles of Scilly, via the Scillonian III ferry, only 28 miles off the Cornish coast.
